Riki Rachtman is best known as the host of MTV’s Headbangers Ball. Before MTV, he made his name on the Los Angeles rock scene as owner of the Cathouse nightclub, a notorious late‑’80s hangout for bands like Guns N’ Roses and other hard‑rock acts. After Headbangers Ball, Rachtman moved into wrestling and motorsports media, working as an interviewer and host for World Championship Wrestling and later fronting the syndicated NASCAR‑themed rock radio show Racing Rocks as well as TV programs like NASCAR 24/7 Live and NASCAR RaceDay. He returned to reality TV in the late 2000s with Bret Michaels, serving as host for the Rock of Love reunion specials and as a “dean” on Rock of Love: Charm School, helping wrangle contestants from the Poison singer’s dating shows.
In recent years, Rachtman has gone back on the road with his live spoken‑word show One Foot in the Gutter, a storytelling tour where he shares behind‑the‑scenes tales from the Cathouse days, his time on Headbangers Ball, and life on the Strip, billing it as a fast‑paced “live autobiography” for rock fans who grew up watching him on MTV.
