Day of the Doors Recap 2020 – Morrison Hotel – Robby Kreiger, Henry Diltz, Michael des Barres

The Doors (Official): L.A. saw the return of the original Morrison Hotel facade a few weeks ago. From signings with Robby Krieger to pics with the album cover hotel window, to a performance with Dennis Quaid, it was a Day of the Doors for the books.

On January 4, 2020, Doors fans from all over the world descended on the site of the original Morrison Hotel to celebrate the fourth annual Day of The Doors.

Fans were treated to a restoration of the window in the front of the Morrison Hotel where the iconic album cover photo was taken – which they could recreate with their own photos.

A pop-up shop offered exclusive, limited-edition merchandise and Morrison Hotel Gallery paid homage to its namesake with a one-day-only photo exhibit featuring Henry Diltz’s photos of the band and his private notes from the day.

Fans were treated to a meet-and-greet with Robby Kreiger and Henry Diltz, a Q&A session moderated by Michael des Barres, and a performance by Robby Krieger with Dennis Quaid and friends, barrelling through Doors classics.
