Ryan Adams, “My Work Was A Map For The Lost. Not A Billboard.” – 2019

Ryan Adams:  “I have a lot to say. I am going to. Soon.

“Because the truth matters. I know who I am. What I am.
It’s time people know.
Past time.

“All the beauty in a life cannot be reduced to rubble for lies.
This madness.

“My work was a map for the lost. Not a billboard.

“So soon.”

Jesse Cook Facebook Live TODAY – ‘Beyond Borders’

In support of Beyond Borders, Spanish-influenced guitarist Jesse Cook will host a Facebook Live session to coincide with the album’s release. The Facebook event will take place on Friday (9/15) at 12PM PST / 3PM EST and will feature live music and a Q&A. Tune in at this location.

Pre-order Beyond Borders on iTunes to receive 3 instant downloads.

Beyond Borders was recorded over two years in Toronto and will be the follow-up to 2015’s One World. “Everything on this album comes from my own experience,” says Cook. “I was going through a difficult period in my life and it blew the door of my imagination wide open. I went for a huge sound, without limits. I threw away the rules, trying to find places I’d never been before, and I got there. The sad songs are sadder, the rhythms are more intricate, the sounds mashed up to look at traditional patterns in a new way.”

Jesse Cook Releases Official Video for “Double Dutch” – Listen!

Flamenco-inspired guitarist Jesse Cook released his new official video for “Double Dutch.” The song will appear on Cook’s upcoming album, Beyond Borders, available everywhere September 15th. The video has been embedded above.

Regarding the video, Cook commented: “Somehow I got it into my head that it would be fun to make a video for this new song “Double Dutch” and use real kids skipping. Next thing I know I’m making a video with Heidi and many of her friends, both kids and grown-ups, all of whom are championship level skippers. Apart from being amazing skippers, they were also wonderful, generous people, and we had a blast taking over some unsuspecting schoolyard one warm summer evening. A big thank you to all the skippers, and their parents.

The Skippers:

The Jump Rope Academy
(Kawartha, Toronto):
Heidi Collins
Breagha LaPierre
Brampton Acro Ropers:
Kathleen O’Callaghan
Armaan Walani
Aislyn Marquis
Kayley Marquis
Jennifer Kirkland

Jesse Cook’s Band:
Chendy Leon (percussion)
Nicolas Hernandez (guitar)
Dennis Mohammed (bass)
Chris Church (violin)”

Ginger Wildheart Tries to Take His Own Life, “The suicide attempt failed”

According to a recent Twitter post by Ginger Wildheart, the singer/guitarist attempted to take his own life. Yesterday, Ginger tweeted, “Well the suicide attempt failed. Fucking gutted. Currently sectioned for who knows how long.” The tweet was met with a slew of responses from fans, mostly positive, but I think what’s most disturbing were the mean-spirited replies, comments like, “1st thing I learned on guitar, is how hard it is, u have a talent and an avenue to express it. You’re being a selfish prick”, another one read, “Deserves you right. They should throw away the key. You can’t go around assaulting people and expect to walk away. Cunt.”

Just a reminder to those who need to shit on someone in that position – when a person attempts to take their own life, they are at the VERY bottom. The last thing they need is someone spewing hate or showing a lack of sympathy & understanding. Instead, show these people some love, maybe share some insight. If they influenced your life, let them know. It doesn’t take much effort to be nice…But if you just can’t do it and you have to be shitty, then YOU are taking up space on this planet.

Tweets from Ginger:

Well the suicide attempt failed. Fucking gutted. Currently sectioned for who knows how long. -Ginger Wildheart

I won’t fail again. -Ginger Wildheart

My life has become unmanageable under medication.
My latest med, Duloxetine, has damaged and destroyed so much.
Beware of Duloxetine. -Ginger Wildheart

Heard rumours that the new shows are being cancelled?!

If true, this is NOT my decision. I’d have liked a celebration of my music w/guests -Ginger Wildheart

My life is a fucking mess. This shit can’t end quick enough. Who the fuck could miss this fucking place? -Ginger Wildheart

Right it’s been fun guys, and (seriously) moving, but the Americans have woken up now and I can’t be responsible for my replies. -Ginger Wildheart

Ginger Wildheart is an English rock guitarist, singer and songwriter, best known for his band The Wildhearts.

Duloxetine is a medication mostly used for major depressive disorders, anxiety, fibromyalgia and neuropathic pain. It failed to receive US approval for stress urinary incontinence amid concerns over liver toxicity and suicidal events, however, it was approved for this use in the UK, where it is recommended as an add-on medication in stress urinary incontinence instead of surgery.

VIDEO: Pepe Romero Performs @ Festival de la Guitarra de Granada 2017

Video footage of Pepe Romero’s August 5th performance at the Festival de la Guitarra de Granada 2017 can be seen below.

Pepe was born in Málaga, Spain, in 1944. He is the second son of one of the greatest guitarists that ever lived, Celedonio Romero – Pepe’s only guitar teacher. And he is brother to two more musical phenoms, Celin and Angel Romero.

By age seven, Pepe set foot on the concert stage for the first time, at the Teatro Lope de Vega in Sevilla. And now, more than sixty years later, he continues to mesmerize audiences throughout the world. During that time, he has given literally thousands of concerts worldwide, many with the remarkable Romero Quartet, and many as a solo instrumentalist. He has worked with almost every major conductor and has to his credit more than 60 recordings (among which are 20 concerto recordings with the Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, with both Neville Marriner and Iona Brown).
