Led Zeppelin “Stairway to Heaven” Spirit Lawsuit Back On – Verdict Overturned – Taurus

Led Zeppelin will be heading back to trial for a lawsuit that accuses the band of stealing the opening chords of “Stairway to Heaven” from an instrumental track called “Taurus” by the group Spirit.

On Friday, a federal appeals court in San Francisco overturned a 2016 verdict that determined “Stairway to Heaven” didn’t borrow anything from the Spirit track.
