Kreator’s Mille Petrozza explains his writing process.

I have to be by myself in a very quiet, almost boring kind of environment – there cannot be any distractions.  I have to be somewhere where nothing is happening.  So Essen (W. Germany, where the frontman resides) is a great place for that.  My hometown, it’s a nice town but very much boring, there’s not much happening.  If I was in Barcelona, or Madrid it would be harder for me to write.  In order for me to get inspired, I need to be bored.  That’s the key.  Once you get bored, you get creative.
