David Gilmour Releases New Video

Iconic Pink Floyd frontman David Gilmour has released a new video for Rattle that Lock, the title track from his upcoming fourth solo album, due in stores on September 18th. The album will mark Gilmour’s first new solo material since On an Island in 2006. The legendary singer will launch a support tour on September 5th in Brighton, England, with a handful of US dates slated for next March and April. It will mark his first extensive tour since the 2008 death of Pink Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright, who was an integral part of Gilmour’s solo efforts. Gilmour reunited with Floyd drummer Nick Mason last year to record The Endless River, featuring some of Wright’s final recordings. Fans had hoped it might lead to the first Pink Floyd tour since 1994, but Gilmour quickly shot down that notion. “I just try to imagine what it would be like, and the thought of it makes me break out in a cold sweat,” Gilmour explained in an interview with Rolling Stone. “I’m an older person. I’m really enjoying my life. I’m really enjoying the music that I am making, and there’s no room for Pink Floyd.” Check out the video for “Rattle that Lock” below.
