Hear Chris Cornell’s Isolated Vocal Track from Temple of the Dog Album

Did anyone see our retweet of this story the other day (right side panel)? Let me just say, if you didn’t already love Chris Cornell’s voice, you sure as sh#%tzz will now. In the clip below, you can hear the isolated vocal track from “Say Hello to Heaven”. The song appears on the 1991 self-titled Temple of the Dog album.
Temple of the Dog was formed as a tribute to honor the life of the ‘Love Commander’ himself, Andrew Wood (Mother Love Bone), following the singer’s untimely death. The band included Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Audioslave), Stone Gossard (Pearl Jam, Mother Love Bone), Jeff Ament (Pearl Jam, Mother Love Bone), Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), and Matt Cameron (Soundgarden, Pearl Jam).
“Wanna show you something like the joy inside my heart
Seems I’ve been living in the temple of the dog
Where would I live, if I were a man of golden words?
Or would I live at all?” – Andrew Wood
