Tour Dates for Joe Satriani’s “Surfing to Shockwave”

To celebrate his illustrious 30-year career, guitar legend Joe Satriani will launch a massive international tour next February. Dubbed the “Surfing to Shockwave” tour, the trek kicks off on February 25th in Seattle before spanning the US for 20 dates, winding up March 19th in Jacksonville, Florida. The tour is set to move into Canada in April, though those the dates for Canada and beyond have not been finalized. Click Here for a full list of US dates and venues.

Satriani’s first album, Not of this Earth, was released in 1986. His latest effort, Shockwave Supernova, hit stores on July 24th, quickly becoming his biggest chart debut at No. 19 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The effort also debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s Rock chart and holds the distinction of the highest-charting instrumental rock album in the Nielsen SoundScan era. on guitar as well as Type O Negative drummer Johnny Kelly.
