Taylor Swift Leads the Pack with 9 VMA Nods

As has been the case with most major awards shows in recent years, crossover star Taylor Swift led the pack in nominations for the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards. Swift earned a total of 9 nods for the VMAs, easily in front of second place Ed Sheeran’s six nominations. Beyonce rounded out the Top 3 in nominations, collecting five when they were revealed Tuesday morning. Swift was tapped in all the major categories, including Video of the Year, Pop Video of the Year, Best Female Video. Starting today, fans can begin voting for their favorites in a number of categories on the VMA page on the MTV website. Click Here to cast your votes. Nominees for the nine major categories are listed below. The 2015 VMAs will be held Sunday, August 20th at 9PM ET. The ceremony will be hosted by Miley Cyrus.
