Uriah Heep: It is with deep regret that we share the devastating and tragic news of the sudden and totally unexpected passing of John Lawton on 29. June 2021.
Contrary to reports, there was no illness involved, which makes his passing incomprehensible.
He went peacefully with his wife at his side.
John will be greatly missed.
A private funeral service to celebrate John’s life will be held following his wishes, with only family and close friends attending.
We would appreciate that the family’s privacy is respected during this difficult time.

Uriah Heep (Official): Bernie Shaw and Dale Collins are proud to announce the release of their studio album, Too Much Information, which will be released on CD, LP and Download on the 13th September 2019 (20th Sept in the US).
Bernie Shaw is the LEAD SINGER of the legendary band URIAH HEEP. This is his FIRST album project outside of the band. Dale Collins is a multi-instrumentalist and producer in Canada. The duo are long term friends and worked together in bands when Bernie lived in Canada. The duo worked on songs many years ago, but have now re-recorded from scratch all their songs together to create this NEW STUDIO ALBUM.

Uriah Heep have cancelled their scheduled appearance at Vostertfeesten in Bree, Belgium.
Official Statement:
“Due to financial breach of contract by the purchaser, Uriah Heep will not appear at the Vosterfeesten in Bree, Belgium. We are deeply sorry for any inconvenience and would like to advise all of our fans not to purchase tickets with the expectation of seeing Uriah Heep. To our Belgium friends – do not worry! No other tour dates are affected and Uriah Heep is excited to play Belgium on November 7th at the La Madeleine in Brussels.”

Judas Priest released their eighteenth studio album, Firepower, on March 9, 2018. The album debuted at #5 in the United States on the Billboard 200 after shifting 49,000 equivalent units in its first week, off that sum, 48,000 were in traditional album sales. It was the band’s best sales frame since 2005’s Angel of Retribution, which had first week sales of 54,000 copies.

Uriah Heep just completed the recording portion of their 25th studio album, Living The Dream. The album was produced by Jay Ruston and is expected to be released in fall 2018. “We chose Jay because we admire his work with The Winery Dogs, Stone Sour, Black Star Riders, Paul Gilbert, and Europe,” explains founding member Mick Box. “Jay has either produced, mixed or both for these bands, and he will bring a fresh approach to Heep, which we are very much looking forward to.”
The group’s North American tour to support the release begins on February 6th in Ottawa, Canada. A list of dates & ticket info can be found at this location.
Uriah Heep debuted in 1970 with the release of one of hard rock’s milestones, Very ‘eavy… Very ‘umble, and have since sold in excess of 30 millions albums worldwide. To this day, the band still consistently tours the world, playing up to 125 shows a year to 500,000+ fans.
Uriah Heep will embark on a North American tour in 2018. The 6-date Canada trek launches in Ottawa at Barrymoore’s on February 6th and wraps up in Toronto at Phoenix on February 12th. The band then heads to the U.S. for 16 dates beginning with a show at the Orlando House of Blues on February 14th. A list of dates can be found below.

Uriah Heep are set to commence the recording of their brand new studio album (the 25th in their storied career), which will be titled, appropriately enough, Living The Dream.
“We have been together for 47 years and we have seen many bands come and go, so in effect we are ‘Still Living The Dream,’ so it was the perfect title for the new album,” says Uriah Heep guitarist and founding member Mick Box.

Uriah Heep just released a 2CD/1DVD package of their 1989 20th Anniversary show. Titled Raging Through The Silence, the new remastered release was previously only available on VHS.
• Raging Through The Silence is housed in a six panel digi-pack with new custom artwork.
This concert is likely to be the only gap in many committed fans’ collections and gives their core fanbase the opportunity to complete the entire Heep discography. This release is the culmination of a long process to make sure all of the Uriah Heep back catalog is available in modern day formats and digitally.
• This album features the band’s longest running line-up of MICK BOX, LEE KERSLAKE, PHIL LANZON, BERNIE SHAW and the late TREVOR BOLDER.
The set also includes a bonus audio interview, recorded on the same day as the concert, which was previously only available on picture disc LP and CD for a very limited amount of time.

In 1973, Uriah Heep released their live album debut, URIAH HEEP LIVE. The album set the benchmark for live rock records when it sold over 500,000 copies in the United States (pre-KISS Alive, pre-Frampton Comes Alive). URIAH HEEP LIVE captures the band with their classic line-up of David Byron, Mick Box, Ken Hensley, Lee Kerslake (Ozzy) and Gary Thain hammering through hits like ‘Easy Livin’’, ‘July Morning’ and ‘Gypsy’, plus deeper album cuts and live favorites. The album was produced by longtime Uriah Heep affiliate Gerry Bron (Bronze Records founder) and recorded by the Pye Mobile Unit, with Alan Perkins as engineer, using state-of-the-art early seventies mobile recording technology.
Mastered for vinyl, the meticulously recreated gatefold holds two 180g heavyweight “splatter vinyl” records. The set also includes original liner notes from each band member, press clippings and band photography. Last month Uriah Heep were suddenly forced to cancel several European tour dates due to an emergency surgery vocalist Bernie Shaw required. Shaw believes the band should be able to resume their tour by late March. Here’s Bernie’s initial statement:
“I have had a medical issue for some time that has needed urgent attention. But, due to our continuous touring schedule, I have not been able to address this. Unfortunately, it has come to a head and now I need to get this procedure done urgently to prevent the risk of further complications. This means that we are forced to cancel our European run in February which, as any URIAH HEEP fan knows, is totally against our nature. I can only apologize to all our fans on behalf of myself and the band and we will be back to play for you very, very soon.”
Yesterday Shaw released the following update:
“I am now at the end of my 3rd week postop following my second surgery. After meeting with my surgeon, l am happy to report that everything is healing nicely, and recovery is on track as he predicted. I‘m pretty mobile now, and I have even been out of the house a few times getting some walking in and some much needed fresh air. Next week l plan to start some physio and start warming up my voice again, getting back into shape for the upcoming ‘Rock Meets Classic’ tour at the end of March.
I’d like to thank everyone for their unbelievable support and well wishes throughout these past weeks. You’ve truly blown me away. 2017 will see an even stronger Uriah Heep on stage and I can’t wait to get back out where l belong.
