Bryan Adams Talks 1980 Debut Album – Released On This Day

Bryan Adams: Forty years ago today in 1980 I released my first album, it was basically a collection of demos that were polished in the studio…and some of the songs were actually ok. I was lucky to have landed on my feet with a co-writer (Jim Vallance) to help craft the songs and then a record company (A&M) who literally gave me the opportunity to experiment in the studio, and make records. I didn’t find my sound on this album, I needed to go out on tour, play it and write some new ones, but you know what happens after that ?. I hope you like some of the unpublished photos here. There is even a photo of a piece of art that was proposed as the cover.

Pet Shop Boys: Pet Shop Boys are thrilled to announce seven UK shows to open their first-ever greatest hits tour – Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live – in May/June 2020. PSB have also unveiled their brand new single “Dreamland,” which is out now on all digital services. The song features Olly Alexander of Years & Years and is the first song to be taken from the upcoming PSB album set to be released in January 2020.

Inner Sanctum is released today on DVD, Blu-ray and CD. Staged by designer Es Devlin and choreographer/director Lynne Page, the show was filmed by director David Barnard at London’s @RoyalOperaHouse during a sold-out run last summer.

The full-length film on DVD and Blu-ray is accompanied by two CDs of the complete audio of the live show plus a bonus feature of PSB live at Rock in Rio in September 2017.

Howard Jones 2018 Tour US/Canada Schedule/Dates/Tickets

Howard Jones launched his 2018 tour on January 24th in Seattle, WA at Benaroya Hall.  His ‘Solo – The Songs and The Stories Tour’  is scheduled to stop in Solana Beach in San Diego  tonight (2/5) at the Belly Up Tavern.   A list of remaining dates can be found below.

Toto “Spanish Sea” Previously Unreleased NEW Song

“Spanish Sea,” a previously unreleased song from Toto, has been embedded below. The track is taken from the group’s forthcoming greatest hits album, 40 Trips Around the Sun, available worldwide on February 9, 2018. “Spanish Sea” was originally recorded during the sessions for their 1984 album, Isolation.

About the song, Toto lead guitarist Steve Lukather commented: “Thanks to modern tech we were able to play once again with not only our 20 something selves but with our dear brothers Jeff and Mike Porcaro reminding us just how deep their groove was. Bittersweet… Many stories, laughs and a few tears on this one.”

40 Trips Around the Sun features seventeen total tracks three of which are previously unreleased recordings: “Spanish Sea,” “Alone” and “Struck By Lightning,” alongside newly remastered classic tracks worked on by Elliot Scheiner & Gavin Lurssen and his team. The core Toto members, Steve Lukather, David Paich, Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams re-entered the studio in early 2017 to work on the release.

Killer Dwarfs: New Live Album in April 2018 + New Studio Album

Killer Dwarfs just inked a deal with EMP Label Group, the record company founded by Megadeth bassist David Ellefson.

David Ellefson:
“We have signed Killer Dwarfs, a band that came up the ranks when Megadeth were first starting.  We’re going to release a new live album from them in April, but also there will be additional releases from them, including a new studio album (2019).”

LIVE, NO GUFF: Recorded live in November 2016 in various exotic Northern locales including Ottawa, Vancouver, Toronto, and Whitehorse Yukon, Canada, LIVE NO GUFF is a collection of the Dwarfs at their vertically challenged finest, powering through blistering performances of 3 decades of classic tracks including “Stand Tall,” “Keep The Spirit Alive,” “Dirty Weapons,” “Heavy Mental Breakdown” and more.
