Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney and Joe Walsh in the Studio

According to a couple of Ringo Starr’s tweets, the drummer is currently working with his ex-bandmate, Paul McCartney.

Starr tweeted, “Thanks for coming over man and playing Great bass. I love you man peace and love”. He added another tweet, “And look out Joe W. came out to play what a day I’m having peace and love”, suggesting that Joe Walsh also took part in the recording session.

Joe Walsh later confirmed it by tweeting, “Humbled to play in the studio with these two. What a great time we had!”

The forthcoming album will be Starr’s first since Postcards from Paradise, which Walsh also played on. In 2015, Starr talked about working with Walsh on Postcards, “I gave him a call and he came over on a Sunday afternoon. The session lasted just two hours – but it could have gone on longer if Walsh had had his way. I tell Joe, when he’s done a solo, ‘That’s it,’…he wants to do it and do it and do it. That’s how he is; but I’ve known him long enough to say, ‘No – we’ve got it.'”
