Tom Morello, “This guitar was an awful Budweiser promotional guitar” – Gibson Les Paul – Ace Frehley Pickups

Tom Morello: This guitar was an awful Budweiser promotional guitar that was left in a dressing room. During the Audioslave Revelation’s sessions I borrowed Cornell’s lighter, burned off the Budweiser logo, smoothed it out with some steel wool, slapped a couple Ace Frehley humbuckers in there, refretted the neck and it became the beautiful monster you see here which I’ve used on many, many recordings, the first of which was “Shape Of Things To Come.” #recycling
