“New York” – St. Vincent Releases Her First New Track Since 2015 + Tour Dates, Listen!

St. Vincent just released a track called “New York” that marks a new direction in sound for Annie Clark. It is the first music from Clark since 2015’s “Teenage Talk,” featured in HBO’s Girls. At this time it is unclear if the song will appear on an upcoming album, but several comments recently surfaced, hinting that a follow-up to her 2014 self-titled album is on the horizon.

In December 2016, Clark told Guitar World that her next album would be her “deepest, boldest work” to date. “I feel the playing field is really open for creative people to do whatever you want, and that risk will be rewarded—especially now that we have such high stakes from a political and geo-political standpoint. The personal is political and therefore the political can’t help but influence the art. And only music that has something pretty real to say is gonna cut the mustard,” she said.

St. Vincent will launch her Fear for the Future tour on November 14th. The trek kicks off at The Fillmore in Detroit, MI and will wrap on December 2nd at the  Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, NY.  A list of dates can be found below.
