Micke J Shares Classic Yngwie Malmsteen Lineup Photo From 1985

Micke J shared a classic and very rare photo of an Yngwie Malmsteen lineup from November 1985.

He said he took the photo in Hollywood, Florida, back in November 1985, when Yngwie was opening for AC/DC.

According to Micke J, he met Yngwie at the hotel along with Greta, manager Andy, and then took a limo to the venue. He noted that the band was already there and that he had met Yngwie, Anders, and Jens a few times before that year, so they knew each other a bit.

Micke J also recalled asking, “Where is Marre?” only to be told that one of the brothers had had enough and left the day before, meaning the gig went on without a bass player.

He added that Jens managed to compensate for that fact, and remembered another strange detail from the show: the front row featured a fan wearing a “Yngwie is God” sign, screaming and crying throughout the performance.

Micke J said he never took a photo of him for some reason.
