Matt Sorum on ‘The Rainbow’ Documentary, “Great memories and a cool doc check it out”

Matt Sorum: From the documentary about the Legendary Rainbow Bar and Grill. I tell a few stories about my relationship with this incredible Rock N Roll hang out. I first came to the parking lot in the mid 70s when I was too young to get in. I would watch the crowd and was that place that made me want to move to Hollywood after seeing Roger Taylor from Queen pull up in a Roll Royce with two beautiful girls drinking champagne. The lightbulb went off and I knew my life had changed at that moment. I spent my early years in Hollywood there almost nightly. Mario Maglieri was like a father to me and his family runs that place to this day. Fast forward to 1990 when we shot “You Could Be Mine“ there in the adjoining Roxy while drinking in the Bow … the last scene is us walking out The Rainbow door very wobbly. Great memories and a cool doc check it out.
