Listen to Jack White’s New Instrumental “Battle Cry”
Jack White posted a new song, “Battle Cry”, last night on several streaming service. Today, White and Third Man Records revealed the instrumental will be played as Detroit Tigers second baseman Ian Kinsler walks to plate to bat. Kinsler and White both own bat-making company Warstic.
In the clip below, the song is also featured in the promotional film War Cry: The Battle of the Hawk and the Raven.
On Record Store Day, Third Man will release a limited-edition one-sided gold-colored 7″ of “Battle Cry”, with the single available at Third Man’s Detroit and Nashville locations and select independent record stores.
A portion of the proceeds, from “Battle Cry”, will be donated to the Native Wellness Institute’s the Well for Culture Program, which “promotes the well-being of Native Americans through youth and adult programs and training that embraces the teachings and traditions of Native ancestors.”
