Hurray for the Riff Raff Announce Additional 2017 Tour Dates

Hurray for the Riff Raff announced additional headlining dates to take place this fall in support of their latest effort, The Navigator. The Louisiana-based Americana group is currently finishing up a North American leg and will head overseas on August 10th for the Haldern Pop Festival. A list of remaining dates can be found below.

The Navigator was released on March 10, 2017 via ATO Records and is the follow-up to their 2014 album Small Town Heroes. The latest effort peaked at number 9 on Billboard’s US Independent Albums chart, while reaching number 43 on Billboard’s US Top Rock Albums. Their single, ‘Living In The City’ (located above), was added to SPIN’s “50 Best Songs of the Year So Far” list.

Led by vocalist Alynda Segarra, Hurray for the Riff Raff has consistently released new music since 2007. Segarra, who left home at age 17, spent time crossing North America, hopping freight trains. It was around this time that she became an integral member of the Dead Man Street Orchestra. Described as a “travelin’ tramp band spawned in New Orleans,” the Dead Man Street Orchestra toured mostly by freight train, sometimes including up to ten people and five dogs. The group was documented in a photo essay by Time Magazine in 2007.
