David Ellefson in the Paul Di’Anno Documentary

Former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson is spotlighting the new Paul Di’Anno documentary, Di’Anno: Iron Maiden’s Lost Singer, a film that digs into the legacy of Maiden’s original frontman and his impact on heavy metal.

Directed by Wes Orshoski, the documentary traces Di’Anno’s rise through Iron Maiden’s early years, including his work on Iron Maiden and Killers, and features interviews with a wide range of artists including James Hetfield, Gene Simmons, Steve Harris, Gary Holt, Blaze Bayley, and Andreas Kisser. Ellefson is among those offering perspective on Di’Anno’s influence and the era that helped define the genre’s foundation.

The film is available now via major platforms, including Apple TV and Amazon, with physical copies offered through Cleopatra Records. You can also learn more via Wes Orshoski.

David Ellefson said,

The story behind the music is just as powerful as the music itself.
