Stevens released The Laughing Apple on September 15, 2017. The album was released under Yusuf / Cat Stevens’ Cat-O-Log Records imprint exclusively through Decca Records, the same label that launched his career 50 years ago.
The Laughing Apple brings Cat’s career full circle, coming 50 years after his first album. It reunites him with producer Paul Samwell-Smith and guitarist Alun Davies, prominent collaborators on landmark recordings including 1970’s multi-platinum Tea for the Tillerman.
