A Perfect Circle “The Doomed” Official Video

“The Doomed,” the official video from A Perfect Circle, can be viewed above.  An audio version of the track was previously debuted just as the band readied for their 2017 North American tour, which launched on October 21st in Sacramento, CA.

A Perfect Circle has not released a full-length album since 2004’s Emotive, an album that consisted of primarily anti-war cover songs. Prior to that, the band has not released a collection of new original music since 2003’s Thirteenth Step.

“14 years have passed since we released Emotive,” said vocalist Maynard James Keenan. “A new release is long overdue. In light of this current difficult and polarized social, spiritual and political climate, we artist types need to open our big mouths and share the light a little louder.”

On the status of the band’s long-awaited album, guitarist Billy Howerdel recently stated that they are “well over the midway point.”  “I’ve got a studio on the road, and Maynard [James Keenan]’s still working and he’s still writing,” Howerdel explained.  “It’s tough on the road; I knew it was gonna be hard, but it’s been tougher than I thought it would be to bet in a groove and keep going. But we’re about to have a stretch here in about a week when I think it’s going to be time to get a lot done.”
