-U-F-O- “Lights Out In Tokyo – Live”.
The fourth “official” live album under the UFO name.
The band was supporting the High Stakes and Dangerous Men album and was touring Japan, where the UFO name was still quite popular. The show was recorded at Tokyo’s Club Chitta.
I liked this version of the band a lot. It consisted of Phil Mogg, Pete Way, guitarist Laurence Archer (ex-Lautrec, Wild Horses, Stampede, Phil Lynott’s Grand Slam), and drummer Clive Edwards (ex-Pat Travers, Uli Roth, Wild Horses), plus keyboardist Jem Davis (ex-Tobruk).
A very good performance and live document, it featured 14 tracks (5 from the new album and 9 UFO classics).
The album would get released on December 27, 1993, well after this version of the band had already parted ways.
