Greta Van Fleet on KCRW – Morning Becomes Eclectic 2018


Greta Van Fleet will be performing live on KCRW’s ‘Morning Becomes Eclectic’ tomorrow, June 22nd @ 11:15AM PT.  The Michigan quartet has seen a quick rise to fame, mostly due to their great job of poaching Led Zeppelin’s distinctive sound.  Listen to their live set at the KCRW basement studio at this location.

Greta Van Fleet released their second EP, From the Fires, on November 10, 2017 via Republic Records.  The double EP consisted of eight songs; four from their debut EP, Black Smoke Rising, and four new tracks.  As of March 2018, the EP has sold over 100,000 equivalent units in the United States, of which 74,000 were in traditional album sales.

Guns N’ Roses Support Bands Announced for 2018 European Tour Volbeat, Greta Van Fleet, Ghost, Manic Street Preachers

Support acts for the Not In This Lifetime Tour have been added for the upcoming run in Europe this summer.  Get your tickets while you can at this location.

Guns N’ Roses will be heading back to Europe in 2018 beginning on June 3rd in Berlin Germany.  The 16-date European trek will also include one show at the Download Festival in Donnington Park, Great Britain and one show in Moscow, Russia on July 13th.  A list of dates can be found on our previous post at this location.

Greta Van Fleet will be heading overseas for several Europe/UK tour dates beginning in March 2018. The trek launches in the Netherlands on March 20th in Nijmegen at Doornroosje. A list of dates can be found below.

Greta Van Fleet ‘From the Fires’ EP/Album Tracklisting Revealed

Greta Van Fleet will release From the Fires on Friday, November 10th. The new double EP will feature one disc of four new tracks while the other four-song disc will include tracks from their studio debut, Black Smoke Rising, which was driven by the band’s breakthrough hit “Highway Tune.” The tracklisting for From the Fires has been posted below.

Twenty years ago, the band’s Led Zeppelin-inspired sound probably would have been viewed as an insult, but today’s music environment seems to disregard the outright thievery and welcomes it with open arms. Greta Van Fleet is steeped with talent and the members are incredibly young, with the average age being around 21 years old, so there’s still plenty of time to craft a unique sound.

Greta Van Fleet Adds 2nd Troubadour Show – Vibes of ‘Early’ Robert Plant – Listen!

Greta Van Fleet added a second show at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, CA on Oct 29th. Tickets go on sale this Friday (9/1) at 10AM PDT and can be purchased at this location.

The group dropped their first studio EP, Black Smoke Rising, on April 21, 2017 via Republic Records. The song “Highway Tune” was released as the first single (located above)…and you thought the days of ‘early’ Robert Plant-esque vocals were a thing of the past…so did I.

The EP was recorded at Rustbelt Studios in Royal Oak, Michigan. Black Smoke Rising is planned to be the first of three EPs that will eventually be compiled into an album once all have been released.
