Taco Bell Feed The Beat Helps Touring Bands Eat on the Road

Since 2006, Taco Bell’s Feed the Beat program has been giving bands $500 worth of gift cards, in $10 or $5 increments, usable at any of their franchises, offering a no‑strings‑attached corporate subsidy that helps offset the razor‑thin margins of life on tour.

For artists grinding it out in vans and playing small venues, the chance to eat free food in every town they visit can make the math work; as one musician put it, when all the expenses come out of their own pocket, any chance to save a few bucks on food is huge.

Feed the Beat grew out of the reality that touring bands already gravitated to Taco Bell because it’s cheap, open late, and offers more vegan and vegetarian options than many competitors, and the program has since been run day‑to‑day by outside firm The Syndicate, which works with a wide range of artists across management, radio promotion, and PR.
