Sonic Youth Co-Founder Lee Renaldo Talks New Album

Sonic Youth co-founder Lee Ranaldo stopped by WFUV to play a couple of songs and talk about his new record.  You can watch or listen to the interview at this location.

WFUV:

‘Ranaldo’s inventive guitar playing is built upon unusual tunings. In a 2012 Spin magazine staff poll, Ranaldo was named, along with Sonic Youth bandmate Thurston Moore, as the greatest guitarist of all time.’

Ranaldo released Electric Trim on September 15, 2017 via Mute Records.  The album was recorded in New York City and Barcelona in collaboration with producer Raül ‘Refree’ Fernandez ‎and extends the work of Ranaldo’s solo canon, the most recent being his ‎‎2013 album, Last Night On Earth.‎
