Throwback to the tense KISS moment…
Paul Stanley didn’t bite his tongue when KISS hit MuchMusic’s studio in 1993, calling out the network for sidelining the band’s videos unless there was something to promote.
In Toronto pushing “Alive III” and the “KISS Konfidential” release, Stanley and Gene Simmons aired their frustrations despite KISS’ long-standing connection with Canadian fans.
Eric Singer and Bruce Kulick tried to defuse the tension with humor, but Stanley and Simmons kept pressing, even circling back to the issue later while hosting Power Hour.
In fall 1993, KISS toured Canada with dates in Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia, joined by Trixter, Faster Pussycat, and Great White on select shows.
“Revenge” reached No. 11 in Canada and moved over 100,000 copies.
The band first played Canada in 1974 with Alberta shows and has since logged more than 170 concerts nationwide.
