During the 1980s, Barbara Schenker made a name for herself on her keyboard by founding the hard rock group Viva with which she recorded the albums Born To Rock (1980), What The Hell Is Going On! (1981) and Dealers Of The Night (1982). She wrote most of the songs there and was voted best national keyboardist in Metal Hammer in 1984.
