L7 Drummer Breaks Arm – Adam Ant Drummer Jola Steps In @ 2018 UK Dowload Festival

Prior to L7’s concert at the 2018 Download Festival, which runs from JUNE 8-10 in the U.K. at Donington Park, drummer Demetra “Dee” Plakas broke her arm.  Fortunately for the group, Jola, drummer for ’80s pop icon Adam Ant, stepped in to perform the set.

L7: “A not funny thing happened on the eve of our European Tour… our drummer Dee broke her arm, literally 12 HOURS before our flight out of Los Angeles. Very fortunately for us, our friend Jola stepped in to play drums and sounds bad ass! We met Jola last summer when we played with her current band Adam Ant. THANK YOU ADAM for the fabulous loaner! Don’t worry, Dee will be OK, but for now is rocking a rad hot pink arm cast! Your love and support is MUCH appreciated! Here is a photo of us with Jola after our set today at Download U.K.”
