Elvis Costello Announces 2017 North American Tour Dates

Elvis Costello, along with his band the Imposters, just announced a string of North American tour dates.  The tour is a continuation of their 2016 trek, Imperial Bedroom & Other Chambers, which highlights material from Costello’s 1982 album, Imperial Bedroom, produced by Beatles engineer Geoff Emerick.

Elvis Costello says…

“We never intended to recite this book from cover to cover. Listen to our new arrangement of ‘Tears Before Bedtime’ — it gets straight to the real meaning of that song, the way we hear and feel it today. Back in 1982, I might have been a step or two ahead of our crowd in the tragic, romantic stakes, but I sense that they’ve all caught up with me now.”

The current Imposters line-up features drummer Pete Thomas, singer-bassist Davey Faragher and keyboardist Steve Nieve and guest vocalists Kitten Kuroi and YahZarah.
