Gene Hoglan: Hey there folks I will be appearing at this year’s San Diego Metal Swap Meetš¤š¤
There are legendary metal drummers, and then thereās Gene Hoglan. What more can be said about someone who set the standard for thrash and death metal drumming? From his early years in the legendary Los Angeles thrash metal band, Dark Angel, to his classic albums Individual Thought Patterns and Symbolic with the one and only Death. He also has worked with progressive guru Devin Townsend in solo albums, and with Strapping Young Lad. You may also recognize his work from Metalocalypse and the animated band Deathlok, as well as Old Manās Child, Forbidden, and the list goes on. You may recently Gene for drumming with the legendary bay area thrash metal band Testament.
Gene Hoglan will be playing some of his classics, talking about his career as a metal drummer, and answering some of your questions.

Iām really excited to be a part of this yearās San Diego Metal Swap Meet. Iām planning an amazing show, where Iāll be covering material from throughout my career, plus there will be a number of surprises lined up as well. Iām looking forward to seeing everybody there, this is going to be a ton of fun!
