Anthrax’s Scott Ian: Metal Must-Do’s in Rochester, NY – Canceled – Broken Stage – 2022 – House of Guitars- Metallica – Barrett Alley Studios – Hatebreed – Black Label Society – Main Street Armory

Scott Ian:

Metal must-dos in Rochester: 1-House of Guitars. If you’ve never been, you have to see it to believe it. The most insane collection of guitars, amps and records ever.

2-Anthrax signing at House of Guitars in 1987. We started the Among The Living tour at the Penny Arcade in Rochester. Metal Church was opening. Just a few months later Among had blown up worldwide and we were living the dream.

3-Signed guitar from 87 – Anthrax/Metal Church.

4-This was Barrett Alley Studios where Metallica recorded Kill ’em All. We were supposed to record Fistful of Metal here in Sept 1983, but they didn’t have a board to record into! The next day we found Pyramid Sound in Ithaca NY and dove into making the album. That’s the end of today’s metal history lesson.

Thank you @topangacanyonknives for driving me around!

SEE YOU TONIGHT ROCHESTER! ANTHRAX-BLACK LABEL SOCIETY-HATEBREED at the Main St Armory TONIGHT!!!

Anthrax:

Due to unforeseen production issues, the show tonight at the Main Street Armory in Rochester had to be canceled by both Anthrax and Black Label Society as it was unsafe for the bands to perform.

Anthrax and Black Label Society do not cancel shows lightly but we could not put the health and safety of the bands and crew at risk. All of the bands tonight apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment. We will be back to Rochester to rock another time.

Refunds are available at the point of purchase starting Tuesday August 23.
