Tommy Lee Praises Anthony Bozza’s Work on Artie Lange Book ‘Wanna Bet?’

Tommy Lee: “Hey Anthony Bozza nice job buddy!!! Fuckin’ hilarious.”

Anthony Bozza is an author and journalist who has written extensively for Rolling Stone and other magazines. He is also the author of bestselling books on Eminem, AC/DC and Artie Lange, and has co-authored numerous autobiographies of artists, including Slash, INXS, and Tommy Lee.

PURCHASE @ AMAZON

When Artie Lange’s first book, the #1 New York Times bestseller, Too Fat To Fish, hit the top of the charts, audiences learned what Howard Stern listeners already knew: that Artie is one of the funniest people alive. He is also an artist haunted by his fair share of demons, which overtook him in the years that followed. After a suicide attempt, a two-year struggle with depression, and years of chronic opiate addiction, Artie entered recovery and built himself back up, chronicling his struggle in brave detail in his next book and second New York Times bestseller, Crash and Burn.

In his hilarious third book, the two-time bestselling author, comedian, actor, and radio icon explains the philosophy that has kept his existence boredom-free since the age of 13―the love of risk. An avid sports better and frequent card player, Lange believes that the true gambler gets high not from winning, but from the chaotic unknown of betting itself. He recounts some of his favorite moments, many of which haven’t involved money at all. In this candid and entertaining memoir, he looks back at the times he’s wagered the intangible and priceless things in life: his health, his career, and his relationships. The stories found in Wanna Bet? paint a portrait of a man who would just as quickly bet tens of thousands of dollars on a coin toss as he would a well thought out NBA or NFL wager. Along for the ride are colorful characters from Artie’s life who live by the same creed, from a cast of childhood friends to peers like comedian and known gambler Norm McDonald. The book is a tour of a subculture where bookies and mobsters, athletes and celebrities ride the gambling roller coaster for the love of the rush. Through it all, somehow Artie has come out ahead, though he does take a few moments to imagine his life if things hadn’t quite gone his way. Unrepentant and unrestrained, the book is Lange at his finest.

Tommy Lee, “Sometimes I feel like I failed as a father, because my kids don’t know the value of things”

Former Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee posted the following Father’s Day message:

Tommy Lee: “Happy Father’s Day fellas!  I’m not gonna sit here and post some fluffed up bullshit for the public to read…. I’m gonna be honest- Being a father ain’t easy!  It’s a roller coaster ok?  My father taught me to respect everyone and everything and to take care of those that I loved.  He taught me to appreciate my possessions, and to be grateful for the things I was given.  I’ve fucked up at times but I’ve always bounced back.  When I had a child, my first child, I wanted to instill those same virtues into him.  Sometimes I feel like I failed as a father, because my kids don’t know the value of things.  If they break something, they don’t care because they know they’ll just get a new one, if they hurt someone, they don’t care because so many people tell them it’s OK.  I never wanted this for my kids.  I know I’m not fully to blame, because their mom has a lot to do with it, enabling bad behavior and buying them things when they weren’t good, but I guess I hoped at the end of the day they would end up kind.  I love them dearly, don’t get me wrong, but man, sometimes it’s really tough to watch your kids grow up without those morals.  Nothing can really prepare you for fatherhood …. I love my boys but they can be assholes too…and that’s the truth (Cue Honest Guy music)”

Soon after Tommy’s post, his son Brandon responded:

Brandon Lee:  “Remember what happened last time you said this shit? ? night night ? You gotta show up to be a Dad big guy. If you think we’re so bad (which I can assure you we are not) then you should have showed up to a few more BDays and baseball games. Someone like you couldn’t raise a man like me. Once again painting our family in a negative light. Who the fuck are you? Just move on dude… WE ALL HAVE. ✌?or I’ll put you right back to fuckin sleep ?”

Brandon quickly followed up his post with a video showing his father laid out, unconscious on the floor, captioned “Look a little sleepy there Tommy. ?.” Appearing to have been filmed by Brandon, it also shows Tommy’s fiancee, Brittany Furlan, who is trying to get the drummer’s son to stop filming.  The clip is thought to have been shot during the highly publicized March 2018 altercation between Tommy and Brandon.   Watch it below.

Pamela Anderson on Upcoming Mötley Crüe Movie, “I can’t imagine it being of any interest”

Pamela Anderson recently spoke to the Hollywood Reporter about Julian Assange, Vladimir Putin, Mötley Crüe, Kid Rock and the recent altercation between her son Brandon and his dad Tommy Lee.  A few excerpts have been posted below.

On Brandon’s physical altercation with his father over derogatory tweets the rocker posted about Anderson:

“I stay out of it,” she says. “The kids are adults, and they make all their own decisions. I look at the differences in their personalities and their fearlessness and their ambition and their clarity, and I’m just so proud of both of them.”

Her relationship with Lee, one of three ex-husbands, was famously volatile, with accusations of abuse leveled at the Mötley Crüe drummer. “I picked her up many times from her lawyer’s office and flew her up with her kids and hid her out in Aspen for a month because the guy was beating her up,” recalls former mogul Jon Peters, who briefly lived with Anderson in the 1990s. “But she made it through. She raised the kids. She’s got money. She’s got a career.”

She only hopes she won’t be appearing as a character in the upcoming Netflix movie about Motley Crue, The Dirt. “I can’t imagine it being of any interest,” she says.  She’s even more dismissive when it comes to her other famous ex-husband, Kid Rock. She says she never spoke to him again after they divorced in 2007 and isn’t buying his new Redneck Everyman persona. “When he was with me, he didn’t hunt.  I don’t think he was very Republican, but now he is. Oh well.” She sighs.

Tommy Lee Fights w/ Son Brandon Following Pamela Anderson Outburst – Working on New Album for Summer Release

Brandon Lee

Tommy Lee has posted a picture of his swollen lip (located below), which appears to have happened during a fight with his son, Brandon Lee.  No word on what brought on the dispute, but the former Motley Crue drummer did go on a rant last night about his ex-wife Pamela Anderson’s recent interview with Piers Morgan.  During the interview, the actress and Playboy model talked about how their marriage came to an end after Tommy assaulted her.  Anderson also happens to be Brandon’s mom.

Tommy Lee:
“My fiancé and I were in bed when my son busted into the room and assaulted me.  I asked him to leave the house and he knocked me unconscious.  He ran away from the police.  My heart is broken.  You can give your kids everything they could ever want in their entire lives and they can still turn against you.  Good job Brandon!  Great son! ??”

Tommy Lee’s Tweets from last night:

Tommy Lee:  “Piers Morgan ur interviews w/ Donald Trump & my ex-wife are pathetic! Think she’d find something new to discuss instead of rehashing old shit but I guess she has nothing else going on & needs attention. Signed,  The abuser” (who she texts everyday & asks for me back)”

Piers Morgan later responded to Lee and the two exchanged Tweets:

Piers Morgan:  “Morning Tommy! Lovely to hear from you. I’m not responsible for what Pamela told me about your marriage so I suggest you take it up with her.”

Tommy Lee:  “I suggest you don’t interview her. Are you that desperate for people to interview? She literally has NOTHING going on so she brings up old drama for attention. I’m sure there’s some people better worth your time. Lovely to hear from you too ha”

Piers Morgan:  “I like Pamela and I like you… if you fancy doing an interview yourself, I would be happy to let you have your say?”

Tommy Lee:   “I’m just tired of hearing the same old bullshit. Fuckin broken record.”

Piers Morgan:  “Fair enough. Talking of broken records, when’s your next album out? (joke….)”

Tommy Lee:  “I don’t know if you’re joking or not but for your sake I hope you are.  I’m working on it now.  Summer release, wait til u hear this shit, it’ll be newsworthy unlike ur typical gossip bullshit”

Piers Morgan:  “I was kidding. I love your stuff. Send me a signed copy when it’s out.”

Tommy Lee calls out TMZ:
“Hey TMZ maybe get your facts straight before you go reporting bullshit. My fiancé and I were in bed when my son busted into the room and assaulted me. I asked him to leave the house and he knocked me unconscious. He ran away from the police. THAT’S the truth.”

Director/Editor Chris Hafner Dies of Apparent Suicide

Director / editor Chris Hafner has reportedly died by suicide.  Hafner worked with artists like Cypress Hill, Tool, Ozzy Osbourne, Tommy Lee, R.E.M., Korn, Red Hot Chili Peppers and several others. A statement from his brother Marc has been posted below.

On December 18, 2017, Chris updated his Facebook profile picture using the photo above.

Marc Hafner:
“It is with great sorrow I notify you of the passing of my brother Chris Hafner . Unfortunately, the demons that surrounded him yesterday got the better of him, and he took his own life. His wife Heather Boyce Hafner and mother Janet Hafner are surrounded and supported by family and are understandably devastated, as we all are. We understand the desire to reach out and offer support, and in time would welcome hearing from you, but at this time we respectfully request time to grieve. As details of a service or memorial become available we will make an announcement. rest in peace brother.”

David Abbruzzese:
“I remember we laughed together during our introductions… He made his own dimple in my brain. I wish I would’ve returned his call last month. I didn’t know he was gonna go. Go on, man. R.I.P. Chris Hafner”

Tommy Lee: “Chris Hafner! Gonna miss you man! Best director EVER! “Get Naked” why did you take your life? We’re gonna miss you and your smiles n laughs! Goodbye my friend.  RIP Chris! We miss you and your balls to be different! Never worked with a man with bigger balls than me! He pushed us into places no one else would go then!”

“I’m Chris Hafner. I am a creative editor, a director, a Sagittarius. I am a
Graduate of Tisch School of Arts at New York University.

“I’ve been ripped-off in New York City.

“I founded an editorial company in Venice, California called Brass Knuckles.

“When I lived in Michigan, I edited for a company called Ringside Creative. I’ve won Emmys.

“I’ve lost loved ones.

“I like scooters, guitars, and the possibility of life on Mars. I dislike my scars, and any policies that would squash manned Moon missions.

“I want inner peace, peace on Earth and an occasional piece of pie.

“I have worked for peanuts, I love Peanut butter cups. I have worked for money. I have wasted money on stupid stuff like Ginsu Knives and registering a Star.

“I love to share ideas and solve problems. I love to exercise excessive creative license.

“I love what I do. I love that… it’s how I roll.”

Don’t be dismayed by goodbyes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends.” -Richard Bach

Nikki Sixx: L.A. Book Signing Event Announced

Friday, October 27 at 7 PM – 10 PM PDT

Barnes & Noble Events, The Grove
189 The Grove Dr, Ste K 30, Los Angeles, California 90036

In honor of the ten-year anniversary of The Heroin Diaries, Nikki Sixx will be at Barnes & Noble, The Grove to sign the reissue of The Heroin Diaries: Ten Year Anniversary Edition: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star by Nikki Sixx with exclusive new content. The memoir explores Nikki’s yearlong war with a vicious heroin addiction.

When Motley Crue was at the height of its fame, there wasn’t any drug Nikki Sixx wouldn’t do. He spent days—sometimes alone, sometimes with other addicts, friends, and lovers—in a coke- and heroin-fueled daze.

The highs were high, and Nikki’s journal entries reveal some euphoria and joy. But the lows were lower, often ending with Nikki in his closet, surrounded by drug paraphernalia and wrapped in paranoid delusions.

Here, Nikki shares the diary entries—some poetic, some scatterbrained, some bizarre—of those dark times. Joining him are Tommy Lee, Vince Neil, Mick Mars, Slash, Rick Nielsen, Bob Rock, and a host of ex-managers, ex-lovers, and more.

Brutally honest, utterly riveting, and surprisingly moving, The Heroin Diaries follows Nikki during the year he plunged to rock bottom—and his courageous decision to pick himself up and start living again.

Join Nikki Sixx for this exclusive event @ Barnes & Noble, The Grove

This is a wristbanded event. A wristband will be issued on a first come, first serve basis to customers who purchase The Heroin Diaries: Ten Year Anniversary Edition from Barnes & Noble at The Grove beginning October 27th at 9am
• Limit 1 wristband per book
• No memorabilia please

Tommy Lee Misses Fourth Straight “Final Tour” Performance

Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee was forced to miss a fourth straight performance Sunday night as his band continues on their final tour through the Northeast. Suffering from tendinitis, the drummer has missed shows in Buffalo, New York, Bridgeport, Connecticut, Manchester, New Hampshire and Sunday’s show in Bangor, Maine. Glen Sobel, the current touring drummer for opening act Alice Cooper, has been filling in for Lee, who has been able to play piano for “Home Sweet Home” as the band closed the shows out. Watch Lee apologize to fans, and take part in Sunday’s “Home Sweet Home” performance, in the YouTube clips below. It has not been determined when Lee will be able to rejoin the Crue for their scheduled performance in Quebec City on Tuesday night, or if he will miss a fifth straight show. If he does miss the Quebec gig, Lee will have another couple of weeks to recover as the tour shifts to Europe, with their next show not scheduled until November 2nd.

Dubber “The Final Tour,” Motley Crue’s current trek kicked off last year and will wind through Europe next month before returning to the US for a final round of dates on the West Coast. The last-eve Motley Crue show is scheduled for New Year’s Eve at the Staples Center in LA. The tour ranked as one of the top-grossing treks in music last year, with nearly a million fans buying tickets to shows at 72 cities, and more than $45 million in gross earnings. For a complete list of the Crue’s remaining dates and venues, Click Here.
