Ratt Announce 40th Anniversary Edition of Dancing Undercover

BMG, in partnership with Rhino Entertainment, has announced a 40th anniversary edition of Ratt’s third studio album, Dancing Undercover.

The limited edition zoetrope release is scheduled for July 31, 2026 and is available for pre-order here.

This limited edition gatefold LP features reimagined cover artwork and a zoetrope vinyl with moving images of the band’s logo and members, all housed in an opaque bag.

In a statement, Stephen Pearcy said that he and guitarist Robbin Crosby wanted Dancing Undercover to land somewhere between the Ratt EP and Out of the Cellar, with a tougher overall feel.

Originally released in 1986, Dancing Undercover became Ratt’s third consecutive platinum album and reached No. 26 on the Billboard 200.

The album features the classic lineup of Stephen Pearcy, Warren DeMartini, Robbin Crosby, Juan Croucier, and Bobby Blotzer.

The tracklist includes “Dance,” “One Good Lover,” “Drive Me Crazy,” “Slip of the Lip,” “Body Talk,” “Looking for Love,” “7th Avenue,” “It Doesn’t Matter,” “Take a Chance,” and “Enough Is Enough.”
