John Sykes Gibson Les Paul Auction – Signed by Blue Murder – Carmine Appice, Tony Franklin
Legendary guitarist John Sykes has donated a Gibson Les Paul to help pay for former Blue Murder keyboardist Nik Green’s medical expenses. The guitar has been signed by the original three members of Blue Murder with whom Nik played – John Sykes (also of Whitesnake, Tygers of Pan Tang and Thin Lizzy fame), drum legend Carmine Appice (Vanilla Fudge, King Kobra, Jeff Beck, Rod Stewart) and Tony Franklin (The Firm, Jimmy Page, Paul Rodgers,David Gilmour, Kate Bush, Whitesnake). Bidding starts tomorrow (September 15th) with a starting bid of $3500.
Nik Green passed away in 2016 after losing his battle with cancer. Since then, Penny Little, his wife and musical partner, has been burdened with the debt incurred from medical bills and expenses during Nik’s illness, amounting to tens of thousands of dollars. The money from this guitar will help her put her life back together.
In addition to helping Nik Green’s wife, as with all of these auction items, 10% of funds raised will go to either the Hard Rock Heals Foundation or MusiCares in the buyer’s name. View all items up for auction at this location.
Shipping is not included in the price. Some items, because of their value and being fragile, will require special packing, custom crating, plus insurance, and possible VAT tax fees if purchased outside of the US. This will need to be negotiated upon sale, because of the variables in shipping to various regions. If purchaser is in the Southern California area, the guitar, cymbal, or banner may be delivered locally.
