Ex-Anthrax Guitarist Dan Spitz: “Accepting Limited Vintage High Horology Restoration Work”

Dan Spitz: Making a fixture plate on my vintage Leitz jig borer for one of my CNC machines. My restored Leitz KB150 German jig boring machine is a manual machine that measures distances from one hole to another for drilling (and small boring) with sub micron accuracy, and repeatability. It’s more accurate than just about any CNC machine.

In addition to making parts for my new caliber J11.13 this very rare jig borer allows me to do specialized restoration work such as Re-centering incorrect jewel holes in mainplates, bridges and chatons in vintage Patek Philippe’s, Rolex, and Rolex chronographs that are often hacked off center from Original factory positions. I also installed a three axis one micron readable DRO system to plot coordinates in absolute precision. Using @harveytool miniature drills and end mills.

Besides the current manufacturing of my new oil free escapement caliber J11.13 (as an independent), I’m now accepting limited vintage high horology restoration work so please see my new website for info and contact in my profile.
