About Neil Young Archives (NYA)
Neil Young Archives is a playful vision of an artist’s archives and a utopian vision for artist-focused music streaming. On NYA you will find all of Neil’s music you’d expect to find—every studio album from Buffalo Springfield through Barn, every live album and compilation, a selection of important 45rpm singles—and a lot of music you might not expect—site-exclusive album outtakes and demos, unreleased and unedited live performances, bootlegs and archival released of shelved records—in crisp and intimate high resolution.* Another surprise for the uninitiated: streaming music is just the tip of the iceberg! The folders of NYA’s filing cabinet also contain original manuscripts, session documentation, tape boxes, record reviews and tour press, memorabilia and ephemera, every feature film and music video, photographs from across the span of Neil’s career and, if you’re willing to poke around to find them, dozens of treasures hidden in plain sight. It’s all a bit overwhelming—we’re trying to simulate walking the shelves, taking down boxes and flicking through folders holding Neil’s entire career, after all—but getting lost in the stacks is half the pleasure.

Biohazard: Original Lineup Reunite – NEW TOUR/DOCUMENTARY/ALBUM – 2022/2023

BIOHAZARD REUNITE WITH ORIGINAL LINEUP
ANNOUNCE LIVE DATES, NEW MATERIAL

Biohazard is back.

Celebrating their 35th anniversary as a band, Brooklyn, NY hardcore metal legends Biohazard have returned, reuniting their original lineup of guitarist/vocalist Billy Gradziadei, guitarist Bobby Hambel, drummer Danny Schuler, and bassist/vocalist Evan Seinfeld.

The first wave of confirmed dates for the seminal outfit includes multiple international festivals in the summer of 2023, as well as select appearances in America. See the current dates below, with more announcements coming soon.

In addition to touring, Biohazard has a 35th anniversary documentary in the works containing previously unreleased footage spanning four decades. They also plan on returning to the studio to record new material in early 2023.

“Biohazard is an iconic band that ripped it up on the streets of New York when I lived there in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, so I’m excited to be working with them to bring their pioneering hardcore sound to a new generation,” says Andy Gould (Rob Zombie, Pantera, Type O Negative, more). The band is managed by Gould and Paul Gargano and booked by Jim Morewood at the K2 Agency internationally, and Steve Sokol at Pinnacle in North America.

Biohazard pioneered a genre, with a trailblazing sound that fused elements of hardcore, heavy metal, punk, and hip-hop.

BILLY GRAZIADEI: “Over the years, we made some great music together and had so many incredible shows on some pretty amazing tours. After spending so much time and focus on Powerflo and my solo project BillyBio, things just fell in place at the right time and I decided it was the time to recapture that energy and go kick ass again with the original lineup of Biohazard with Danny, Bobby, and Evan!”

BOBBY HAMBEL: “I’m honored to perform with the band again. I can’t wait to get onstage with the guys and do what we do! I’m looking forward to traveling and playing live – see you out there!”

DANNY SCHULER: “Life is short, things happen, and before you know it, it’s too late – that’s why I’m extremely grateful that we are getting the chance to do this again, forgiving the past and focusing on the future. I’ve missed the band and the great times we’ve had, and I’m looking forward to the shows, the travel, and seeing our friends all over the world again… This is gonna be awesome, let’s go!”

EVAN SEINFELD: “It’s been ten years since we all played together, and I’m in a huge place of gratitude for the opportunity to get back to the roots of Biohazard and not only reconnect with the other guys, but also the fans. We’ve been through decades of madness, and it feels like the fantastic four are back together.”

John Waite Documentary ‘The Hard Way’ – 2022 – MOVIE – Trailer – The Babys – Bad English

John Waite:

COMING SOON

“When music is your whole life, and suddenly life gets interrupted….”

In lost and rare archival music videos, photos, and very personal and candid lock-down interviews, the film finds 80s rock icon John Waite reflecting back on his 5-decade career.

From pioneer rock-video band The Babys in the 1970s to his breakthrough as a solo artist in the early days of MTV to touring with an actual Beatle, John recounts his struggles inside the commercialized world of the music business and his independent pursuits as a self-powered solo, live music artist.

For the past 30 years, John’s “Do It Yourself” touring and live performances around the world have been his way to survive in life both financially and as he comes to terms with it in the film … emotionally…

During a 2022 conversation with The Rockpit, John Waite talked about the upcoming documentary’:

It’s been done for a while; it’s been done for like six months. Gold Circle Films put it together, Norm Waitt bankrolled it, he used to run Gold Circle. They came to me with a full-scale camera unit – two major cameras, make-up, the works, it was just insane; it wasn’t just one of those hand-held camera things. And I thought “Oh hang on…” and then I thought “Why not? It’s an interesting story and they were passionate about it.”

I tried to leave people out that were… actually there were a couple of people that I just said “They were fucking bastards” I said it, and I expect a lawsuit on a couple of things I said, but it’s the truth, so fuck it! I’ve worked with producers that really didn’t care, that didn’t get it and were fucking nasty but who you had to deal with when you were a young man and trying it get through. It’s not easy, you know? And true friends came out of the shadows and said some really nice things about me. And my girlfriend was extremely honest, and I told them if I drop the ‘F-Bomb’ or I show up after three glasses of red wine, or I say something that’s off the wall then keep it in! I don’t want to see it. They sent me a copy like three months ago, five months go or whatever… and it took me two months to watch it!

One night I’m just laying in bed and thinking, “Well why not?” And I watched it and… you know I would have done some things very differently, but that’s good, it’s just not what I would do. So, it’s called ‘The Hard Way’ and they’re looking for a distributor, it should come out by the end of the year.

Triumph Documentary ‘Rock & Roll Machine’ Now Available via On Demand – iTunes, Google play, Amazon Prime – 2022

Triumph Feature Documentary Rock & Roll Machine Now Available On Demand

The Triumph feature documentary, Rock & Roll Machine is now available worldwide ex Canada for purchase and rental via iTunes, Google play, Amazon Prime.

Choose your preferred movie rental or download service @ this location.

The digital soundtrack can be streamed @ this location.

Directed by Banger Films’ Sam Dunn and Marc Ricciardelli, ‘Triumph: Rock & Roll Machine’ delivers on revisiting a band that sold millions of albums, played for millions of fans, and never put themselves above their audience.

“Triumph lays it all on the line in this endlessly fascinating documentary, in turn cementing their legacy as a tireless Canadian rock trio whose galvanizing magic power — as evidenced on both the live stage and within the grooves of their many brilliant albums — could simply not be contained. Triumph’s ongoing, lasting musical impact resides well beyond their native border.”
–Mike Mettler, Sound & Vision Magazine

“The Triumph story was compelling to me, Marc, and the Banger team because it was an opportunity to piece together a broken puzzle,” says Dunn. “We wanted to know how and why the band dissolved at the peak of their powers. It was quite the ride!”

“Sam and Marc did an outstanding job documenting what it has been like to have been aboard the Triumph train for the past near-50 years,” raves Triumph bassist Mike Levine. “For fans old, new, and those to come in the future, this is all they’ll need to know about the band.”

The Triumph line-up – Rik Emmett, Gil Moore, and Mike Levine – rocked the world, and in the process, gave us countless classic hard rock anthems (“Fight the Good Fight,” “Hold On,” “Magic Power,” “I Live for the Weekend,” “Lay It On the Line,” and of course, “Rock & Roll Machine,” and albums (Just a Game, Progressions of Power, Allied Forces, Never Surrender, Thunder Seven, etc.).

Originally formed in 1975 and hailing from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, the trio was always proud of their Great White North roots. And seemingly ever since their inception, Triumph was on the cutting edge of technology when it came to their live show – particularly lighting, sound, and effects.

Sophisticated lasers, pyrotechnics and moving lighting rigs, all computer-controlled – Triumph was one of the first arena rock bands to incorporate all of these elements into their shows. Triumph’s headlining tours were legendary, and the band was featured on many memorable stadium/outdoor shows – including the US Festival, the World Series of Rock, the American Rock Festival and Texxas Jam, Day on the Green, to name but a few.

“One of the best music documentaries I’ve ever seen, ‘Rock & Roll Machine’ is a superbly crafted documentary – an in-depth look at a band that makes me proud to be Canadian…a true TRIUMPH of a story!” — Jason Rockman, iHeart Radio / CHOM FM.

The film is produced by Banger Films in association with Revolver Films, Bell Media’s Crave, Live Nation Productions and NBC Universal Canada, along with the participation of the Rogers Documentary Fund and Slaight Communications Inc.

Motley Crue Bassist Nikki Sixx’s Failed Quiet Riot Audition, “Randy (Rhoads) couldn’t sit there and teach him how to play bass” – Kevin Dubrow’s full in bloom Interview Featured in the 2022 Randy Rhoads Documentary – VIDEO

A clip from an old school full in bloom interview I did with Quiet Riot vocalist Kevin Dubrow, just prior to his death, can be heard in the recent Randy Rhoads documentary (Reflections of a Guitar Icon). Even though they stiffed me on the payment THEY OFFERED, I still enjoyed hearing it play during the film.

WATCH THE VIDEO CLIP BELOW

TRANSCRIPTION:

full in bloom: What was the (L.A.) music scene like back then, like before you made it?

Kevin Dubrow:

Terrible. Van Halen got signed a couple of years prior and we thought we’d be the next ones, but we weren’t. We were the only hard rock band, pretty much, in town at that time. Motley (Crue) had just got started, so they were pretty much coming up in the clubs. We had been out there as Quiet Riot for a number of years. A lot of bands like The Knack.

full in bloom: Do you remember London at all?

I remember that they were just awful. Oh, God. I mean, nice guy, Lizzie Grey, but the worst guitar sound of all time. I remember he could peel wallpaper; it was so treble-y and bad. He’s a really nice guy, and he’s still hanging out there. God bless him. I don’t know how he earns a living after all these years. The drummer Dana (Rage), I ran into him about two years ago.

I knew all the guys. I mean, they had Nigel Benjamin from Mott, and I was a big fan of Mott. They were never very good. Nikki (Sixx) stumbled onto a real good thing with Motley Crue image-wise because Motley Crue started in the image of London, which was very pop, REALLY pop, & then Nikki realized that wasn’t going to be the thing that was going to crack it for them.

full in bloom: Well, I think he even took stuff from….

Blackie.

full in bloom: Yeah, Blackie Lawless.

Absolutely, but he took a darker, evil, hard rock direction as opposed to the real light pop thing of London because it was real pop. It was trying to be a mixture between the Raspberries and the New York Dolls and, musically, really light.

full in bloom: They were, other than you guys, the other hard rock band on the scene?

Well, Quiet Riot predated London by years. London was around the same time as Dubrow. But remember that Nikki auditioned for Quiet Riot when Kelly (Garni) left in ’77.

full in bloom: You’re kidding?

Kevin: No. We predated these bands by at least four or five years; long years, let me tell you.

full in bloom: Was Nikki any good at that time?

No.

full in bloom: He was terrible?

He didn’t know the names of the notes. Yeah, so Randy (Rhoads) couldn’t sit there and teach him how to play bass. We really liked him as a person, but he just didn’t know how to play the instrument. That’s not an insult; it’s just a fact. I mean, in 1977, he did not know the instrument.

full in bloom: But he actually sat down and jammed with you guys?

No. Not really. We said, “The song is in the key of F,” and he said, “Where’s F?” So, we couldn’t get as far as jamming to be honest with you.
