Exodus regretfully announce that Lee Altus will not be joining us on our upcoming European tour. Family concerns dictate he remain close to home and being so far away from home is not possible.
Exodus stand strong with Lee and will destroy in his behalf, and he will rejoin us for the upcoming tours such as the fall leg of The Bay Strikes back. We stand behind our brother in everything and he will be back!
Joining us on this trek is none other than Brandon Ellis of The Black Dahlia Murder so let’s welcome him like one of the Exodus family! Brandon is one of the sickest guitarists alive and he is going to kill it for certain! See you soon in Europe and the UK!
Brandon adds “I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to get on stage with the legendary dudes of Exodus and crush some open air fests and clubs this July and August. I wish Lee the best and will cover his stage right post with honor and respect!”

Exodus: Time for our next video 🤘 This one is for “The Fires of Division” and it actually has the band in it!

Gary Holt: Getting in rich with my inner doom thanks to Does It Doom and their Doomsaw pedal. This thing is sick, and it has one knob, labeled “grief”! LOVE IT! It’s going on the pedalboard for SURE!🤘🏻❗️🤘🏻

A gruesome single knob adaptation of the dimed HM-2 chainsaw circuit, we’ve taken the classic death metal tone and tailored it to modern doom, sludge, and drone metal.
Thundering lows, punishing mids, and that unmistakable chainsaw grind, the Doomsaw is a visceral device designed specifically for downtuned guitar and bass.

Gary Holt: First time plugging the new Brian May BMG super in! Gotta learn my way around these switches! But it fucking SINGS. Sooo clean yet so much sustain! Love it! More exploring to come on this bad boy!
Gary Holt: I’ve seen a lot of videos lately of people playing this, so I thought I’d show the correct way to play the chorus from “The Toxic Waltz”, more riffs to come! Nobody plays this correctly so here ya go!
Exodus: We’re proud to present the new #EXODUS single “The Years of Death and Dying” from our upcoming album #PersonaNonGrata
The song is a tribute to our friends and heroes who have passed away. The lyrics were written by Tom Hunting!

Exodus: With our never-ending support for our bandmate, friend, and brother. We Love You.

Important statement from our man Tom Hunting:
Today I will be starting treatment for squamous cell carcinoma. It’s a gastric tumor that was diagnosed in my upper stomach in February. I’m making this public to raise awareness for people to pay attention to symptoms of stomach and esophageal issues. If they persist, please go get it checked out. I’m not gonna be sheepish talking about it. I feel that if I can help someone with what I’ve learned, or someone out there has information to share with me, it’s a win-win! When you can name the enemy, it’s empowering, and you’re 1 step closer to killing it!
Ok, you’ve heard the bad news. The good news is he feels great physically! I’m gonna beat this like a fucking snare drum that owes me money!!! I’ve had great doctors and a great support system that is an army in itself. I’m ready for the fight!
We have a lot to celebrate this year with the release of what will be a career-defining album and tours to follow! I’m stoked for everyone to hear it, and even more excited to get out there and play some of it! I will see you all very soon! CHEERS!!!
Sending positive vibes for a full and speedy recovery. Stay strong Tom 👊🏼 @ExodusAttack #TomHunting pic.twitter.com/k62sbHNLmr

Alex Skolnick: Holy #TBT Batman! Guitarists goofing for the camera: Yours truly (still in high school), the one & only Gary Holt (later of Slayer , then – & now – of Exodus) & Mark Beidermann of Blind Illusion, who had a big influence on the Bay Area scene at one time. Fun fact #1: the bassist of Blind Illusion back then was a pre-Primus (and wayyy pre-The Claypool Lennon Delirium) Les Claypool. Fun fact #2: A guitar lick on Blind Illusion’s demo is said to have influenced a lick on “Welcome Home (Sanitarium),” the one at 2:26 (I don’t remember the exact song but remember agreeing it sounded similar. And I’ll bet the folks behind the Murder in the Front Row doc could tell you exactly….pic probably by MITFR’s Harold O). Only bringing this up because while many of you might not know the name Blind Illusion – who never went national, going on “hiatus” until quite recently (and has an IG @blindillusionofficial) – they did have an impact on various music & musicians you’re probably familiar with. ??
