Randy Bachman Talks About Seeing Gary Moore for the Last Time

Randy Bachman (The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive) recently talked to MusicVaultz about seeing guitarist Gary Moore for the last time (transcribed by fullinbloom),
(Fred) Turner and I played Sweden Rock (Festival) maybe ten years ago and right ahead of us was Gary Moore. So we go to talk to him and he is also out of his mind, because we knew him way back when he was in Thin Lizzy and he was like pretty straight and now he’s on some sort of psychedelic drugs and not talking to anyone and very angry. So we said hi to him, remember this, remember that, remember Thin Lizzy, yeah. He plays “The Messiah (Will Come Again)”, the next day he passes away. So I now play “The Messiah” as a tribute to Roy Buchanan and him, who are guys I know who have passed away, and I carry on with that song.”
In the clip below, Bachman also talks about Britney Spears performing live, “These Eyes” finding success on Motown, and getting mistaken for The Who.
The classic rock legend is currently on tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd for the Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour. Tickets are on sale now at this location.
