Michael Sweet on the Future of Sweet & Lynch

Over the last decade, the Sweet & Lynch project has quietly turned into one of the most interesting melodic hard rock pairings out there — Michael Sweet bringing that unmistakable Stryper power and George Lynch adding his signature, off‑kilter guitar fire. Across three albums they’ve carved out a catalog that feels like a meeting point between classic Stryper and peak Dokken, stacked with big hooks, tasteful shred and a lot more heart than your average “supergroup” project.

Michael Sweet said, “Sometimes things don’t work out. This is one of those things that hasn’t yet, and it’s a real bummer.
Me and George have made three albums together. Some killer music and songs that we’re very proud of. Songs that rival the best of what we’ve both accomplished over the past 4+ decades.
If you love Dokken and Stryper, then you will absolutely love what we’ve done. However, it seems impossible to tour in support of these albums. Personally, I’d love to see it happen. It would be a breath of fresh air and long overdue.
And, we’re discussing the possibility of another album (only if it’s done the right way and if it’s the best of the bunch).
Who knows, maybe it’s just not in the cards Or, maybe it is. Time will tell…..
