Rock and Brews Chesterfield Location Closes After Nine Years
The sole St. Louis–area location of a restaurant chain founded by two members of KISS has closed after more than nine years in operation, and the memorabilia inside is slated to go up for auction in July.
The franchised Rock & Brews in Chesterfield, launched by KISS bandmates Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, shuttered after service on Sunday according to a sign posted at the restaurant. Employees were informed by text on Monday morning, according to social media posts.
The restaurant opened in November 2016 at 17258 Chesterfield Airport Road in the Chesterfield Commons shopping center. The location was operated by franchisee Kirk Williams through his Topeka, Kansas–based Kanbrews LLC, which he formed to develop Rock & Brews locations; Williams is also co‑owner of Legacy Restaurant Group, a Lenexa, Kansas–based operator of more than 50 Wendy’s franchises in Missouri and Kansas.
