Chrissie Hynde: “Wow! I saw Carleen Anderson perform at the Barbican in London Saturday night and still reeling in shock and ecstasy. She and her band restored my faith in music. Her band reminded me of Tim Buckley’s vibes infused propensity.
“Lately I’d been reading all the ‘Best Of’ end of the year lists and getting a little depressed because nothing has really turned me on lately. But Carleen. Amy Winehouse was so right when she said ‘ Everyone has to see Carleen at least 3 times in their lives’. Whew!
“And i was sitting next to Imogen Heap – another singing sensation. Lifted me to be surrounded with excellence.
“And while I’m at it – I haven’t been able to stop listening to First Aid Kit’s song, ‘Fireworks’. Just perfect. I’m reminded of my obsession with Low’s ‘Try to Sleep’.
“Good music RULES.
