USA TODAY: 📰 Read All About It 📰 A brand new interview with Bret Michaels in USA TODAY talking Stadium Tour details & more! Check it out @ this location.

EXCERPT:

Stadium Tour:
Bret Michaels:

“With Joan Jett, my standards are ‘Bad Reputation’ and ‘I Love Rock ‘N Roll’ – that one is always going to be in my party playlist. Motley, I love listening to ‘Dr. Feelgood,’ ‘Wild Side’ is great, ‘Live Wire,’ and of course ‘‘Girls, Girls, Girls’ – you can’t miss with that one. And Def Leppard, I love all of their music, but ‘Pour Some Sugar on Me’ and ‘Photograph,’ those are really good songs with such great harmonies.”

In November, A&E will debut “The Origins of Bret Michaels,” a multi-part documentary drawn from the musician’s “Auto-Scrap-Ography Vol. 1,” his visual-heavy memoir released in 2020.

“These are stories about me standing in my basement in front of my parents’ washer and dryer and having to move it to set up our amps,” Michael says. “The book gives you a real dive into my head. And in spite of myself, I am still here and still rocking.”

Triumph: Rock & Roll Machine, produced by Banger Films (Alice Cooper, Iron Maiden, Rush, and ZZ Top), delivers on revisiting a band that sold millions of albums, played for millions of fans, and never put themselves above their audience.

“The Triumph story was compelling to me, Marc, and the Banger team because it was an opportunity to piece together a broken puzzle,” says Sam Dunn (who co-directed the film with Marc Ricciardelli). “We wanted to know how and why the band dissolved at the peak of their powers. It was quite the ride!”

“Triumph lays it all on the line in this endlessly fascinating documentary, in turn cementing their legacy as a tireless Canadian rock trio whose galvanizing magic power — as evidenced on both the live stage and within the grooves of their many brilliant albums — could simply not be contained. Triumph’s ongoing, lasting musical impact resides well beyond their native border.” –Mike Mettler, Sound & Vision Magazine

“Sam and Marc did an outstanding job documenting what it has been like to have been aboard the Triumph train for the past near-50 years,” raves Triumph bassist Mike Levine. “For fans old, new, and those to come in the future, this is all they’ll need to know about the band.”

The Triumph line-up – Rik Emmett, Gil Moore, and Mike Levine – rocked the world, and in the process, gave us countless classic hard rock anthems (“Fight the Good Fight,” “Hold On,” “Magic Power,” “I Live for the Weekend,” “Lay It On the Line,” and of course, “Rock & Roll Machine,” and albums (Just a Game, Progressions of Power, Allied Forces, Never Surrender, Thunder Seven, etc.).

Originally formed in 1975 and hailing from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, the trio was always proud of their Great White North roots. And seemingly ever since their inception, Triumph was on the cutting edge of technology when it came to their live show – particularly lighting, sound, and effects. Sophisticated lasers, pyrotechnics, and moving lighting rigs, all computer-controlled – Triumph was one of the first arena rock bands to incorporate all of these elements into their shows. Triumph’s headlining tours were legendary, and the band was featured on many memorable stadium/outdoor shows – including the US Festival, the World Series of Rock, the American Rock Festival, Texxas Jam, and Day on the Green, to name a few.

“One of the best music documentaries I’ve ever seen, ‘Rock & Roll Machine’ is a superbly crafted documentary – an in-depth look at a band that makes me proud to be Canadian…a true TRIUMPH of a story!”
— Jason Rockman, iHeart Radio / CHOM FM

MUSIC. MONEY. MADNESS… JIMI HENDRIX LIVE IN MAUI Screening at Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, TN w/ Billy Cox Q&A

Jimi Hendrix (Official): MUSIC. MONEY. MADNESS… JIMI HENDRIX LIVE IN MAUI will screen at Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, TN on April 11. Billy Cox to give post-show Q&A session with fans. Tickets available @ this location.

Chronicles Jimi Hendrix’s storied 1970 visit to Maui, his performance on the dormant lower crater of the Haleakala volcano on the island, and how the band became ensnared with the ill-fated film RAINBOW BRIDGE produced by their controversial manager Michael Jeffery. Directed by John McDermott and produced by Janie Hendrix, George Scott, and McDermott, this critically acclaimed documentary incorporates never before released original performance footage, plus new interviews with firsthand participants and key players such as Billy Cox, Eddie Kramer, Warner Bros. executives, and several Rainbow Bridge cast members, as well as its director Chuck Wein. The film presents Hendrix — joined by bassist Billy Cox and drummer Mitch Mitchell — at the height of his powers, playing flawlessly against a stunning natural backdrop. Included are breathtaking renditions of “Foxey Lady,” “Purple Haze” and Voodoo Child (Slight Return),” as well as then-unreleased songs like “Dolly Dagger” and “Freedom” that showcased the new direction Hendrix was moving toward.

Eddie Trunk: “In L.A. tonight for a documentary on the tragic Great White fire,” America’s Deadliest Concert, The Guest List – 2022 – Trailer – REELZ

Eddie Trunk: Attending a screening here in LA tonight for a documentary on the tragic Great White fire. It’s called America’s Deadliest Concert, The Guest List. It will air on REELZ 2/20/22.

Fates Of The Innocent And Guilty Collide In A Small New England Town When Pyrotechnics From An 80’S Rock Band Spark America’s Deadliest Rock Concert.

On The Night Of February 20th, 2003…
America’s Deadliest Rock Concert Began In West Warwick, Rhode Island, When The Band Great White Ignited Pyrotechnics Inside A Run-Down Roadhouse Called The Station. The Resulting Conflagration Killed 100 Persons And Grievously Injured Many Others. It Could Fairly Be Said That Music And Rock Culture Drew One Hundred Innocent People To Their Deaths In The Station Fire. The Guest List Explores How That Same Music And Culture Became Sources Of Healing And Comfort, At Least For Some, In The Years Thereafter.

Many Victims Of The Station Fire Had Been Seduced By The Siren Song Of Rock Celebrity. They Met Jack Russell In The Local Denny’s, A Nearby Motel Or At A Tattoo Parlor, Where He Generously Added Their Names To The Show’s Guest List. For Many Of Those Passionate Fans, What Appeared To Be Their Very Luckiest Day Turned Out To Be THEIR Last. Weeks After The Fire, The Actual Charred, Handwritten Guest List Was Recovered From The Club’s Ashes.

The Film Contrasts Jack Russell’s Post-Fire Journey, In A Search For Redemption, With Survivor Joe Kinan’s Rebirth, Courage And Inspiration. Along The Way, We Meet Other Survivors And Victims’ Families Who Have Memorialized Their Loss Through Pursuits Ranging From An Exhibit Of Commemorative Body Art To Re-Immersion In The Rock Culture That Initially Brought Them And Their Loved Ones To The Station Nightclub. Throughout This Journey We Discover What Many Feel Was Legal Injustice Within Local And State Government.

The Documentary Addresses Timeless Themes Of Personal Responsibility, Acceptance Forgiveness And Redemption. Its Central Characters Struggle To Cope In The Aftermath Of Tragedy – Some Gracefully, And Some Less So. It Is An Object Lesson In The Tragic Potential Of Poor Decisions. The Guest List Remains Timely, Years After The Station Fire Tragedy, As Young People Will Always Be Attracted To Concert Events While Some Bands, Promoters, And Concert Venues Remain Tempted To Cut Corners For Cheap Spectacle. The Guest List Is Based In Part On John Barylick’s Narrative Non-Fiction Work, Killer Show, The Station Nightclub Fire, America’s Deadliest Rock Concert. The Result Is Poignant Footage Contrasting Very Different Life Stories. The Guest List Is A Strikingly Visual Film. No One Who Watches The Guest List Will Enter A Concert Venue Again Without First Checking For The Exits.
