Don Felder:
“You’ve asked for more about my locker of guitars I have. This is one of them! It doesn’t include my four complete rigs of show equipment. That’s in a separate locker elsewhere. For every piece of gear in this locker it’s assigned a number based on WHAT it is. Then I have a spreadsheet using that numbering system with the make/model, serial numbers, descriptions, and photographs! If something goes missing- I will know! Not to mention it makes it easy for myself, or if one of my techs goes in to pick something up for me, to grab exactly what I need with ease.”
Marc Storace: MILESTONES ALONG MEMORY LANE
Founded originally in 1971, the 3 members of TEA [the name came about by taking an initial from each of their names] decided to look for a vocalist and found me as the perfect man for the job.
In order to promote the new band formation, we created a huge, over 6 foot tall poster with portraits of each musician, taken by our Manager Peter Waelti, as well as individual posters. We placed the picture of bassist Turo Paschayan instead of the “T” in the Name “TEA?”, Drummer Roli Eggli’s picture over the”E”, guitarist Armand Volker’s picture over the “A”.
The marketing idea was to promote the brand name further and to create curiosity about the ‘mystery’ man on vocals. Who is he? Where did he come from? The “M” of Marc was close enough to the word ‘question mark’ and thus we used the “?” symbol.
The huge poster [left side] was placed on billboard like poster pillars that were popular in those days, also as display in record stores and even fashion boutiques.
TEA went on to a successful career not just in Switzerland but also all over Europe. Three studio albums [TEA, The Ship, Tax Exile], released between 1974 and 1976, one ‘best of’ album in 1978 and another one in 2009 that included also 2 songs that were never released on an album [Reloaded] tell the story.
And the rest is [music] history!

THE ORIGINAL REIGN IN BLOOD
One of the world’s most important collectors of Metal art recently acquired the original sleeve artwork American artist, Larry Carroll, created for Slayer’s Thrash Metal masterpiece, “Reign In Blood.” At some point, this artwork was supposed to be lost. Now you can see it on this post, framed and hanging on a wall alongside other iconic images.
“Larry Carroll’s original art for ‘Reign in Blood’ is now part of my collection,” says the collector, who prefers to remain unknown. “The mixed media collage measures 72 x 72 Centimeters (without frame) and was in very good hands for the last 30 years. I’m happy to be able to take over this huge responsibility. The texture [of the piece] is amazing.”

“Presented to Michael Wilton to commemorate the sale of more than 250,000 copies of the EMI RECORDS USA Album, Cassette, C.D ‘QUEENSRŸCHE’ “

I still remember that feeling all those years ago and still so thankful to all of you! Best fans in the music business! Was only the beginning…🤘🏼
The champagne was definitely popping!!

Queensrÿche released their debut EP independently in 1982 via 206 Records. It was reissued the following year via EMI-America.
The EP was later certified GOLD, by the RIAA, on August 15, 1991 for selling more than 500,000 copies.
To my dear friend who gave me so much help at the beginning of life after John Bonham. I send love and birthday wishes.

Excerpt from Robert Plant’s 2023 interview w/ Vulture:
After John Bonham passed away and there was no Led Zeppelin, there had to be a way to go. I floundered around a lot because until I was 32, I was in some kind of wild and absurd adventure. I went through all that stuff. I’ll write with other people. It’s a very intimate thing to do. It’s hard for anybody to expose themselves musically. Other people with me, and me with other people. I have a lot of songs under my belt, which I co-wrote with the members of Zeppelin. It was a lot to live up to. I had a lot of people who gave me support and strength around that time, so I suppose the first two albums were driven by great friends.
Phil Collins especially was a driving force and had positive energy with the first record, Pictures at Eleven. It wasn’t a difficult job to get together with other people, it was just whether or not we could cook it properly. With Phil, it wasn’t so much advice as encouragement and consideration. He was taking no prisoners. He would only allow himself a short amount of time to come to the studio in Wales and make it work. Nobody was hiding behind the performance. Then he came on tour with me and basically said, “Robert, the guy that sat behind you for all those years was my hero.” That was it. He said, “Anything I can do to help you to get back into fighting shape again, I’m here.” That was at the time when “In the Air Tonight” came out. Yet he was still mixing and working with me while kicking off a particularly impressive and successful timeIndeed, Collins somehow made time to play drums on the majority of Pictures at Eleven’s tracks, as well as serve as Plant’s drummer for the subsequent tour. This was after Collins became an international sensation with Face Value and Genesis’s early-’80s output. for himself. He’s a great spirit, a good man.

A rose. Upon taking a deep dramatic whiff of it I realized had spent time in a woman’s vagina. Not a clean one.🤮 #TrueStory
You asked for it.

Now THIS is a throwback. The thowbackiest of throwbacks. One of the first reviews (using that word lightly) of our first demo, before we changed our name from “Misfit” 👁️ Time flies…

One of the most important moments of my life was meeting Vince Neil for the first time last night. Razzle always wanted us to meet as he thought ”us singers” were a lot alike. Under different circumstances both bands probably would’ve ended up as good friends, but fate had other plans…Thank you for your time, Vince. We didn’t say much but your eyes told me more than 1000 words ever could. And your singing was great at the show. Nice to finally see you guys live! ❤️Michael✨

full in bloom: Good vibes to Jamie Foxx. Here’s an excerpt from an interview Jamie did with Howard Stern in 2012, where he talks about working with Quentin Tarantino on Django Unchained.
Jamie Foxx:
I was just getting to learn Quentin Tarantino. So, he was, again, a tyrant. He was like, “Do not fuck my film up.”
Howard Stern: Tyrant in the sense that he insists every word be just the way he wrote it.
But that’s what you want. You want a director who, even if you’re going off a cliff, you know that you’re going off the fucking cliff.
Don’t you want the freedom to ad lib?
Nah, not with him. The first day of rehearsal, I’m reading my lines like, (all smooth & shit), and he said: “Cut. Can I talk to you for a second? Close the door. Ummmm, what the fuck was that?” I said, “What do you mean?”
“I knew I was going to have this problem,” he said. “Listen. All of this shit, you have to be a fucking slave. Ok, he’s a slave. He’s not cool. He’s a fucking slave. He doesn’t know how to fucking read. You come in with your fucking Louis (Vuitton) bag and your fucking Range Rover, and you’re fucking just, ‘I’m so fucking…,’ You’re not Jim Brown. He’s a fucking slave, and then…and then, he becomes the hero. But lose that shit.” Door swings open, he walks out.
Would you work with Quentin Tarantino again?
A thousand times.
The patent filed by Edward Van Halen (#4,656,917) for a “Musical Instrument Support” was approved #OTD in 1987.

Sean Yseult:
I can’t believe I just found this – the very first homemade press book for White Zombie, and the only one! This is from ‘85, the year we started. I’m playing my Phantom Bass I bought on St. Marks Street, and I made the 6-page pressbook on a color xerox machine when the boss wasn’t looking!
The photo is by my friend Scott Smith and was one of a handful of people that bothered to come see us at CBGBs audition night. I love that we compare ourselves to Black Flag, Butthole Surfers, and the Birthday Party. Now you know how we started out, and we meant it! I think the metal seeped in when we heard Metallica and saw Slayer! And Ivan was a true-blue metal head from Brooklyn so that helped!
More to come…
