Heritage Auctions: Kirk Hammett was known for playing Flying V’s in his early days of Metallica, as well as his time in Exodus — and this is one of them. An all-original Gibson Flying V from 1988 with modest playwear. This is a staple guitar from the early days of thrash metal. No changes or repairs. Kirk Hammett signed his full name in silver ink. His later signatures tend to be just KH. Gibson later issued a KH special edition Flying V based on this model. Accompanied by a framed Certificate of Authenticity that is also signed by Hammett. Also included with this guitar is Too Much Horror Business-The Kirk Hammett Collection. Original hard case included. Condition: Very Good.
Heritage Auctions: David Bowie Diamond Dogs Original, Uncensored, and Withdrawn Gatefold Vinyl LP (RCA, CPLI-0576). An original copy of the 1974 classic (boasting the single “Rebel Rebel”) featuring the uncensored “genitals cover” on Bowie on the back cover. Showing the man born David Robert Jones with a dog’s torso and its uncensored genitals, not many copies are known to exist. But here is one in all its glory. Seeing the artwork now, it is vastly more tame than say, original artwork for Cannibal Corpse, Slayer, and Guns N’ Roses LPs, but it had to be altered to sell to the public. The jacket is in EX 7 condition with a scratch on the back cover. The disc is in NM 8 condition. COA from Heritage Auctions. From the Record Collection of David Swartz
