The legendary “Hot for Teacher” stage used and filmed guitar, custom made by Paul Unkert of Kramer Guitars for Eddie Van Halen, including important innovations customized for Eddie’s evolving guitar technique.
Poplar double-cut “Strat” style body, the top routed for a single double-coil Seymour Duncan humbucker pickup, volume control, Floyd Rose bridge with whammy bar, unvarnished 22 fret maple bolt-on neck (stamped “UNK” on heel) with Kramer sticker on headstock, unvarnished body and headstock spray painted with Van Halen’s characteristic black and white abstract stripe design on a red ground, rear routed for the Floyd Rose’s three springs and stop, no pick guard or rear cover (as designed), screw holes on the back for Eddie Van Halen’s patented flip-up rest (for playing the guitar horizontally. Original case with tour and Warner Brothers tags. [With:] The straight jacket and white gloves worn by Van Halen in the video.
Unkert’s accompanying letter of 4/13/05 details the guitar’s history: “The ‘Hot For Teacher’ Van Halen [guitar] was built by me at the Kramer Green Grove Road Plant in Neptune, NJ around 1982-1985/ #CO176. Look for ‘Unk’ stamps on Neck and Body. It was my last project for Ed and Kramer. Paul ‘Unk’ Unkert.”

Bil VornDick’s expertise in the recording studio was well known, especially in the folk, bluegrass, Americana, and acoustic music scenes. He contributed to albums that received nine Grammy victories and more than 40 nominations.
He became particularly linked to the ’80s-era “new acoustic music” movement. Among others, he collaborated with David Grier, Vassar Clements, Jerry Douglas, Craig Duncan, Alison Brown, Mark O’Connor, and Béla Fleck.
The bluegrass who’s who followed his Grammy-winning work with Alison Krauss, including Peter Rowan, The Dillards, The Country Gentlemen, New Grass Revival, The Nashville Bluegrass Band, Del McCoury, Doyle Lawson, Claire Lynch, Rhonda Vincent, The Earls of Leicester, Dan Tyminski, Laurie Lewis, Larry Cordle, The New Coon Creek Girls, and IIIrd Tyme Out, were among his clients.

Eric Carr remained a member of KISS until his death from heart cancer. He took up the persona of “The Fox” and was one of the fan favorites. Rockology is Eric Carr’s only solo record which features former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick. This package was designed and mastered along with Loretta Carr (Eric’s sister) to fall in line as the 5th KISS solo album. Tommy Lee of Mötley Crüe owns this 56-channel SSL console. The console sounds impressive, and many artists have tracked on it, including Tommy himself, Mötley Crüe, Post Malone, Papa Roach, Steven Tyler, Sammy Hagar, The Smashing Pumpkins, Courtney Love, producer Michael Binehorn and producer Bob Rock engineered on it several times, to name a few. Tommy hates letting this go but is sizing down for the new studio.
The console was well taken care of and maintained by Bruce “The Desk Doctor” Millet while in the studio. However, Bruce decommissioned the console and stored it at a climate-controlled facility in Los Angeles, Ca.
If you want to check out the console in person or have a third party look it over, you can contact me to make an appointment. In addition, I can send service history upon request.
The console comes with the entire patch bay system, cabling for 56 channels of i/o for AD/DA or tape machine, costume patch panels, and all the cables you need to wire a studio from the ground up.
