Kim Gordon Takes Aim at Corporate Advertising Via Spotify Playlists – Nike – Sonic Youth

Apparently, former Sonic Youth bassist Kim Gordon is not a fan of brands like Nike being able to create playlists on the music streaming service Spotify.  In a social media post, Gordon says the company uses music from bands without their consent which in turn promotes the famous footwear corporation.  Read her statement below.

Kim Gordon: “Brands like Nike can make playlists on Spotify using music by bands without their direct consent essentially advertising for them.”
