Apple’s Beats 1 Drops the Ball on MTV VMAs Announcement
Several weeks ago, Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio station scored a major coup when it was granted exclusive rights to announce the nominees for MTV’s 2015 Video Music Awards. Unfortunately, the radio station stopped working Tuesday morning, along with several other Apple services, just minutes before the announcements were set to begin. Apple acknowledged the technical difficulties, but did not offer a guess as to when services would be restored. A spokesman for Apple Music declined to comment for this story.
